The pictures, which made the Agency GeoNet, a group of tourists walking in the crater of a volcano, not knowing that in a few moments will start the eruption.
The Agency GeoNet monitors volcanic activity in New Zealand: they have seismometers, ultraviolet spectrometers, and cameras that are constantly working on the White Isle. One of the cameras on the edge of the crater captured a group of unsuspecting people walking on the trail around 14.10 local time.
After a minute the eruption. After that, the image was visible only an empty crater and the ground was black from ash. The Agency then ceased to publish photos from this camera.

The eruption killed 6 people, 8 are still missing, 31, is in hospital with injuries of varying severity. Many serious burns and doctors doubt that everyone will be able to survive.
The population was 47 persons, 38 of them are tourists cruise liner. Among the dead are citizens of the United States, Britain, China, Malaysia and Australia.

Despite the fact that the search for survivors is still underway, the government announced that the island no longer found any signs of life.
Scientists say that the volcano woke up suddenly, just for a moment.
