In Arkansas killed a police officer directly in the patrol car, shot 10 times in the head

Police officer Fayetteville (Arkansas) 27-year-old Steven Carr was shot and killed on Saturday December 7, at approximately 9:42 PM. He was killed near the headquarters of the police directly in the patrol car: shot, firing him in the head with 10 bullets.

Suspect in the murder of London Phillips resisted arrest and was shot by police during the pursuit. The autopsy of the arrow, conducted by the Arkansas state medical examiner showed that he was shot 6 times. Police pursuing the shooter used a weapon and placed on administrative leave. Police chief Mike Reynolds called their names: corporal si Floyd (7 years as a police officer) and officer Natalie Yusi (2 years service in the police).

Officers immediately began providing aid for both police and the attackers. Around 9:45 in the evening on a scene there arrived the Fayetteville fire Department and the Central security service. The wounded officer and the suspect died from his injuries at the scene.

Recordings from surveillance cameras that captured the moment of the shooting of a police officer, was transferred to the family of the deceased Stephen Carr, and then authorized for public viewing. Full version of video recording of the incident was published only a week later, on Friday 14 December.

Sheriff Washington County explained in his post on Facebook that the police had not previously demonstrated this video «due to the disgusting and shocking nature of this crime». A video about the incident was shown only after the results of the preliminary investigation. Video # 3: the Officer Yusi and Sergeant Jennings out of the police Department.

Video # 4: the Attacker goes South in the alley between the police Department and the Fayetteville County courthouse Fayetteville.

Video # 5: Review of city hall. Officers Floyd and Yusi, and Sgt Jennings are searching for the attacker, then pursuing him in the alley.

At the request of the chief of police of Fayetteville Mike Reynolds County Sheriff’s office Washington the FBI is investigating the shooting of police officer Steven Carr, which occurred in the Parking lot of the police station on 7 December 2019 at about 21:42. At the request of the examiner, any of the 10 shots would have been fatal for Stephen. «All I know, it was a cowardly act,» Reynolds said to journalists.

Authorities suggest that the shooter specifically «looking for officer for murder.» 35-year-old London Phillips «was interested in the anti-government groups,» according to the analysis of social networks conducted by the police.

The investigators explain that in the video you can see how the shooter releases the 16 bullets and reloads a 9mm semi-automatic pistol Taurus another full magazine containing 17 rounds. In one video, released on Friday, is seen as Phillips is approaching the police car and fired several times at her. The gun used by the attackers, was legally acquired in 2017. The shooter had 1 full box of ammunition containing 50 rounds, and 1 empty packaging with 32 rounds.

Hundreds of people attended the funeral of officer Carr on Thursday in Fayetteville.
