A man robbed a Bank and began to throw money to passers-by, shouting «merry Christmas!»

This is definitely the most original Santa Claus this year. At least in Colorado.

In Colorado springs a man robbed a Bank and started throwing the stolen money into the air, shouting, «merry Christmas!» to passers-by.

65-year-old David Wayne Oliver was arrested at a nearby Starbucks coffee shop, after he robbed the Academy Bank in Colorado springs on Monday afternoon.

According to police, the suspect «threatened to use a weapon» and left the Bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The local TV station KKTV reported that an eyewitness Dion Pascal said as Oliver came out of the Bank and threw money «everywhere.»

«He started throwing money out of the bag and then shouted «merry Christmas!», — quoted Pascal’s channel.

According to the man, the witnesses took some money and returned them to the Bank when Oliver went to a nearby Starbucks and sat there as if waiting for his arrest. As an employee of the coffee shop, the man didn’t order any drinks, and none of those present did not even know that he had just robbed a Bank.

According to preliminary information, «thousands of dollars» had not yet been found and not returned to the Bank. The police said that there is no indication that Oliver used a weapon in the robbery.

Oliver, who look like Santa, at least, a white beard, is contained in the County of El Paso. He identified a Deposit of $10 thousand. «Generous» the robber will appear in court this Thursday.
