A random bullet pierced the window of a house on 56th floor

Independence day in Chicago was not without incident. The city recorded several dozen shootings, nearly 100 people were injured and 15 people were killed. But there was one unusual incident. Stray bullet came through the window on the 56th floor of a condo at 474 N. Lake Shore Drive. Fortunately, during incident nobody has suffered.

Neil Sukhatme, who was visiting his parents (in the apartment which the incident occurred) was working behind the Desk at that time, glass has been pierced by a bullet. Initially, the man decided that the consequences of fireworks and maybe that’s fireworks came through the window in the living room. But coming closer, he and his wife found lying on the floor shot. At this point, the couple’s children (ages 1 and 2 years) were sleeping in the next room.

Police arrived on call about 1 a.m., confirmed that the cause of the broken window was the bullet. Of natural causes the shooter to install is not possible. At the moment experts are working to establish the type of weapon from which a shot was fired.
