Arrested the owner of a kindergarten that was hiding the 26 little children in the basement behind a false wall

The Department of social services of the state of Colorado has suspended the license of a kindergarten in Colorado springs after police found 26 childrenhidden behind a false wall in the basement.

Complaints of parents on a kindergarten Play Mountain Place prompted the Department to conduct an audit. They asked the police to accompany them.

When investigators arrived in kindergarten, they were surprised not to find any children. The owner of the kindergarten, 58-year-old Carl faith, refused to comment on it, but the officers suddenly heard children’s voices coming from somewhere below. After searching the residence of faith, they found a false wall in one of the rooms. Behind it were stairs to the basement, where there were 26 children under the age of three, and two of the employees taking care of children.

The establishment of Play Mountain Place has been licensed only for serving six children or less. Department officials immediately began calling parents.

One of the moms commented on the incident:

«If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed. To say that I’m shocked means to say nothing. I feel like I’ve been betrayed, because prior to this I had heard only rave reviews about this place,» said the woman.

Employees and the owner of the kindergarten was arrested previously on charges of cruel treatment of children.

According to the Los Angeles Times, this is not the first «meeting» of Carla faith with regulators.

In the 1990s she was the owner of a kindergarten in CULVER city (California). After such complaints, the police raided a kindergarten, and officers saw the staff frantically rushed to the next lane with 31 child attempts to hide them.

Later faith moved to Colorado. Licence applicants on the opening of a kindergarten in Colorado are not required to provide information about previous licenses in other States.
