The staff of the wildlife Department of Arizona shot and killed three mountain lionsthat have eaten human remains on the trail Pima Canyon (Pima Canyon Trail). According to representatives of the Agency, there was no other option.

In the end, three pumas – senior two year old – had to be shot.
According to the representative of the Department, Mark HART, there is no confirmed information about the fact that the Cougars attacked the tourist.
«The autopsy will tell us more. But we think that they ate human remains of a dead person. Unfortunately, the option to relocate these pumas were not – then they got on the territory of the other pumas, which have fought to the death for territory. Besides, even if they didn’t attack the person, but just ate human remains is a disturbing fact. It is a sign that they may attack humans in the future,» said HART.
These Cougars eat the remains of literally 50 yards from the popular tourist route and within sight of the houses, and they were not afraid of the approaching officers. According to officials, the animals were a clear threat to public safety.
«The animals here are active all the time, we live next door to them, but never was, they don’t even attack domestic dogs,» said a resident of the foothills Tom Goslin.
