A man from Texaswho proposed to his fiancée on the eve of the New year, was arrested and charged with her murder just four days after their engagement.
Kendrick Akins suspected that Dominic shot Jefferson in the Parking lot of an apartment complex around midnight on Saturday night. Witnesses heard the couple arguing.

As reported in police, Akins also shot the bystanders who witnessed the quarrel in Holly View apartments in Harris County (Texas). The witness tried to help the wounded, Dominique and take her away, but also got shot. His condition information yet.
«I want to know why. Why? Why did you do it? You said you love her. You proposed to her on New year’s eve, and today you killed her? Why?» the nurse said Jefferson in an interview with local channel KTRK.
Akins fled the scene of the crime, but after 12 hours he came to the police station, where he was interrogated, arrested, and then accused of murder.
Representatives of the homicide division of the police Department of Houston issued an official statement:
«Our staff received a call about a shooting in a residential complex at the above address, and they said that the woman was shot after a quarrel with her boyfriend. The guy also shot a man who tried to help the injured».
The police added that they are still looking for recordings from surveillance cameras, and that the investigation is ongoing.
According to the family, Dominique Jefferson, the pair dated for three months when Akins made a proposal to the girl.
