In new Jersey arrested a Russian woman on suspicion of smuggling smartphones

On December 26 at the airport in new Jersey was arrested Julia Radochinskaya. Russian woman arrested in connection with a Federal investigation of illegal export of stolen cell phones from the USA. It is assumed that the proceeds from the sales went to funding international criminal gangs, — said the publication of Slavic Sacramento.

According to the materials of the investigation, the girl flew to new York JFK from Moscow. She was misled by border control agents, saying he is an employee of the airline and intend to fly back on 29 December. Soon agents of Federal law enforcement bodies it became known that the flight Radochinskaya is sent the evening of the same day from the airport in new Jersey.

Luggage Radochinskaya was inspected immediately on arrival in new Jersey. Customs officers found in carry-on baggage detained 92 of the iPhone and the fake export documents to them. The total value of the contraband was more than 100 thousand dollars.

In his testimony Radochinskaya argues that carrying the phone for the mother, which sells electronics. According to the detainee, smuggling gave her a «Bob», whom she met in new York.

At the moment Julia Radochinskaya is in custody awaiting trial.
