On the flight to the US, the passenger attacked a stewardess and tried to break into the cockpit

In new Jersey the police arrested the passenger, who during the flight attacked a flight attendant and tried to storm the cockpit.

One of the passengers of the flight from Virginia to new Jersey described an incident that occurred on January 9, saying that the plane was approaching the airport of embarkation, when the suspect – Matthew Dingley — «rushed the cockpit».

«This guy ran to the car like a Sprinter, beat on it, knocked,» he told channel WNBC passenger named Mike Egbert. According to him, after the flight attendant tried to intervene, Dingley attacked her.

«The stewardess was small and fragile girl, and this guy jumped on it,» said Egbert.

Another passenger of the plane, apparently, had experience in law enforcement and could help to bring the situation under control. But, unfortunately, this was not the end.

In Newark , the airport police took into custody Dingley, but the suspect put up quite a struggle with police, injuring six people, fortunately, only slightly.

«He raised a single policeman in the air and just threw it. If he had hit the cockpit, God knows what could happen,» the eyewitness added.

Dingley charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and interference with transportation.

The incident occurred during a flight on a partner airline United Express — CommutAir.

«Our main task is to ensure the safety of all customers and crew members, and we are cooperating with authorities. We Express our gratitude for the quick reaction of our passengers and crew members during this incident,» said the airline.
