On the video the school bus driver stops a few inches from a speeding freight train

Driver-extreme on Monday morning, skidded to a stop just inches from a passing freight train. A terrible incident, caught on video, happened before the railway crossing in Lodi (California).

Witness Justin Clubb shot on a mobile phone the time when a bus Lodi unified school district (Lodi USD) is stopped in a dangerous location, near a fast moving train at the intersection of South Sacramento Street, and Lodi Avenue West.

«Definitely need to be more vigilant when it comes to level crossings, because he drove under the descending barrier, stopped, looked both ways, and then wanted to move forward. Then, apparently, turned back again, and well, that he noticed the train,» said KTXL channel of Club.

School district, which is currently investigating the incident, said that nobody in the bus were not injured.

«Safety remains our top priority. We seriously consider all safety issues and assure that the district is investigating the incident. During it, the bus was carrying one student, and he was not injured,» — noted in the school district.

Some parents said now worried for the safety of their children.

«I’m worried when my child goes to school,» said a local resident, Sean Leuenberger.

According to Justin Klebba, he hopes his video will serve as a lesson to other drivers school (and not only) buses, so that these dangerous situations are not repeated.
