In Los Angeles in a shootout near Westfield Century City killed 1 person

On Monday night in Los Angeles near Westfield Century City the man was shot. He received a severe gunshot wound, which subsequently led to the death of the victim.

Police in Los Angeles reported that on January 20, officers responded to a call received at 22:16 Boulevard Santa Monica, where the shooting occurred. Local residents advised to stay home and lock the doors until police are searching for the shooter.

Boulevard Santa Monica were closed in the area of century Park West, in connection with the conduct of police work.

The quarrel between visitors of the restaurant in the Mall, according to witnesses, was preceded by the shooting. Continuing to swear they went outside, and the shooting occurred on the sidewalk.

28-year-old man was wounded several times in the head and stomach. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The victim had surgery, but to save him failed. After midnight on Tuesday he was declared dead.

It is not clear what was the cause of the shooting near the Mall.

Immediately after the incident the police were looking for eight suspects who had left the diner after the shocking attack. Then, the number of wanted gunmen is down to one.

Westfield Century City is a marketplace, on which boutiques of such famous brands as Breitling, Eataly and Tiffany & Co. There is usually very crowded.
