In a statement, the Association of Seattle said:

«We Express our condolences to victims of today’s shooting in downtown Seattle, and we thank the police and fire departments of the city for their quick response to this tragedy.

Criminal activity of Third Avenue and pine takes too long and too often leads to the death of innocent people.

The heart of our city should feel safe and welcome all who live, work and come here.

We urge public officials to allocate the resources necessary to improve safety in the city centre, and take a Third Avenue of criminals applying for it.

On behalf of the residents, small business owners, employers and visitors we say that enough.»
