As it became known Daily News, the baby monitor camera has captured the horrifying death of 1-month-old boy from the Bronx, whose father strangled with a pillow.
These terrible evidence forced the 27-year-old Texana Watkins to tell the police that he strangled her newborn son Qasim. The tragedy occurred on Wednesday, January 29, at Holland Ave. near E. 215th St. in Williamsbridge.
Watkins was accused of murder, manslaughter and criminal negligence. He will be prosecuted in the Bronx on Friday, January 31.
Qasim’s mother called 911 about 6:15 am after are unable to Wake your child. Kassim later died at Montefiore Medical Center.
According to mother, she nursed the baby for about three hours before, and then put them to bed.
The administration of child services (ACS) of the children told the Daily News that the previously conducted investigation of domestic violence at this address.
ACS had to take two sons, who are now three and four years when they were younger, sources told the New York Post.
«There seems to be some evidence that father was physically with children,» said the source.
ACS has confirmed the cooperation with the police in this case.
