Blogger Imran Aliyev, who regularly attacked Russia and Chechnya, was found dead in a French hotel with his throat cut and stab wounds. The police suspect that a possible «political motive.»
44-year-old critic of Putin, was found late last month in the bloodbath at the hotel in Lille. According to Business Insider, he had their throats cut.
Aliyev has received the status of political refugee and lived in Belgium under police protection «because of threats from Russia and Chechnya in connection with his oppositional blog». This was announced by a senior representative of the French police.
He became known for his harsh statements, in which he criticized the Chechen ruler Ramzan Kadyrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Aliev checked into the hotel with a man who traveled on a Russian passport. The body blogger was found a few hours after he checked into the hotel on January 30 — the knife was found near him.
«Many would want this,» he told AFP another source.

The person with whom he was travelling, probably, already safely returned to Chechnya, said another well-known blogger, reports AFP.
«We collect and analyse evidence on the use of travel schemes, electronic interception and other means of investigation,» — said the representative of the French police.
France has not yet made contact with Russia for any help in this matter. Lille police had yet to make any arrests, according to AFP.
