Man found dead in burnt-out car was the victim of a murder

Monday, February 10, the police announced a murder investigation of an unknown found in a burned car in Brooklyn on Saturday morning.

The officers of the 76th precinct and the FDNY responded to a 911 call about the continuing persecution and the fire in the Ford Fiesta on the corner of Court and Bay Sts. in Red hook about 2 o’clock in the morning.

Shortly after firefighters extinguished the fire, they found an adult male unconscious, sitting in the front passenger seat. According to police, the man was probably a head injury behind the left ear.

Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene. His body was taken to the office of the medical examiner to establish the cause of death.

No arrests and the investigation continues. It is not known whether the killing stating that someone was stealing cars in the area.
