The family had an accident after a holiday in Disney World: two children, mother and grandmother died

A dream vacation to Disney World turned into a nightmare when four family members died in a car accident on Tuesday, February 18.

5-year-old Scarlett Smith, 11-year-old Jackson Smith, a 41-year-old Julie Smith of Whitman and 76-year-old Josephine Fay of South Weymouth (Massachusetts) died when their minibus crashed into a truck.

Jackson was connected to artificial life support after the accident but died the next day.

Twin sister Scarlett, whose name is Skylar, and their 10-year-old sister Shawls was taken to the hospital with their father Shane, and their grandfather William Fay. They had minor injuries.

All except father, who was driving, was wearing a seat belt.

Their car crashed into a pickup truck Toyota Sienna, at the wheel which was 26-year-old Lucas Laurindo DOS Reis from Kissimmee (FL).

According to police, the driver hit two other cars, causing passengers received minor injuries. Laurindo cooperated with police and provided a blood sample.

The twins were delighted with the upcoming trip, told reporters their teachers in preschools Merry Deb Learning Center in Whitman.

Whitman Youth Soccer plans to hold a candlelight vigil for the Smith family Friday, February 21.
