The driver survived after his truck fell from the 6th floor Parking garage

All participants of incident in Santa Monica left alive after the jeep fell from the upper level of a six-story Parking. Two passengers managed to jump out of the car before the fall, the driver remaining in the car, alive but in serious condition, according to KTLA5.

According to the police Department of Santa Monica, the incident occurred on February 23 after midnight, two blocks from the pier. On arrival the fire brigade discovered the crashed car at the Parking garage, leaning on the McDonald’s sign. Firefighters worked to stabilize the vehicle in order to safely release the remaining trapped man — it was the 20-year-old driver. According to police, the young man «was conscious and was able to speak with the officers when they arrived.» However, the fire Department reported that the driver was taken to the trauma center in critical condition.

At the moment it is not known why the man sent the car off the edge of the building. According to investigators, they have not yet determined whether there was a man under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
