In the Philippines, a former security guard shopping Mall was held hostage a few dozen people

Monday in a shopping center in the Philippines a disgruntled former security guard was taken hostage a few dozen people and shot one of the workers. The man was angry about his dismissal from the Mall.

Around 10:00, the suspect, identified as Archie Paris, entered the building of the shopping center, Virra Mall shopping center Greenhills, located in San Juan, suburban Manila. The offender immediately shot one of the guards from the gun, after trying to get the rest of the security personnel on his side.

«He felt bad because he was fired from the post of security guard.» said measures San Juan, Francis Zamora. «We evacuated all people from the Mall and we are located here in the middle of a closed Mall.»

Zamora also said that Paris claimed that he had with him a manual of the grant, but authorities couldn’t confirm it. In addition, in the initial police report stated that «more or less than 50» employees were taken hostage, but according to Zamora, there were about 30 or 40 depending on the size of the administrative office, where they were ordered to be. The mayor reported that none of the hostages was not injured, and the wounded security guard was hospitalized and is now in stable condition.

Paris was outraged by the unfair attitude of the authorities. A former security guard said that he was fired after he left the workplace without informing the leadership. The suspect used a mobile phone to contact the guards and the media — in messages he claimed to have been outraged by the change of its time and accused the leadership of corruption.

Six officers responsible for the security of the shopping center, tried to calm Para, simultaneously begging forgiveness for his «shortcomings» in the evening news conference and promising to resign.

«I ask for forgiveness, I will leave work, just so the crisis is over.» — said the employee of shopping centre Oscar Hernandez in an attempt to appease the criminal.

A few hours Pari peacefully surrendered and released the hostages.
