The girl was alone, walking through the forest 4 miles to get help after the accident

On Tuesday evening, March 3, near Riceboro (GA) found the woman’s body — just a few hours after a passerby came across in the woods on her daughter, who at that time stayed in the woods for nearly two days.

According to authorities, the car 32-year-old Mandy Morehouse was broken when it went into a ditch on Briar Bay Road. Then the woman who traveled with 8-year-old daughter allegedly decided to leave the car at the curb and go through the forest but soon got lost.

Morehouse daughter had to spend in the woods the night and in the morning the girl was unable to Wake Mandy. She was forced to walk about 3-4 miles alone — until 14:30 the child did not notice the passerby, who studied the area using a metal detector. Fortunately, the girl practically has not suffered, apart from the shock and a few scratches.

The Morehouse managed to find four hours later, 3 miles from the scene of the accident. The woman was already dead.

«[Daughter Mandy] — incredibly brave girl, which police invaluable assistance. — said the liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes — perhaps we could find the body [Morehouse] and to put an end to this business without her.»

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. Daughter Morehouse is currently with relatives.
