Lauren NiAl of Tennessee overwhelmed with emotion, but it is gratitude that she continually repeats after her family survived a dangerous tornado.
Tornado strength EF-3 struck in Cookeville Tuesday night and killed at least 18 people, five of them children. NiAl, her boyfriend and teenage daughter could be among the dead, but obviously they were born in shirts, especially the girl tornado, like in the «Wizard of Oz», pulled out from the bedroom, lowering in the neighbor’s pool strewn with rubbish. Daughter Lauren received only minor injuries.
«She’s alive, praise God,’ said NiAl channel WTVF. — My neighbours pulled it.»
According to NiAl does she know how get an alert on your phone, but by the time she got out of bed, mother nature has unleashed on the town of your anger. Lauren ran into the bedroom teenage daughter, flown away when the door hit her.
«My daughter was in her room, she has a hearing problem, and she took off the hearing aid. I had to scream very loudly. She sat down, and the next moment the house was gone, the door hit me. I never thought I will survive,» said the woman.
NiAl somehow landed on the roof of the «established» like a card house. Her dog, which later, unfortunately, died, lay in her lap. Daughter Lauren was in the neighbors pool.
The group of volunteers, friends and neighbors came to what remains of the house Lauren NiAl to help her to find things and to clean up the garbage.
«Our community is amazing because I never had to deal with something like that. Don’t know what to say, except thanks, but it’s not enough».
Lauren neighbors across the street survived when barricaded in the Laundry room in the basement.
