The robber with the axe was caught when he ate just stolen donuts

Portland police arrested an armed robber who stole a box of donuts from the bakery. Officers caught up with the perp a block away from the shop, eating donuts, which he stole.

On Saturday, around 3:42 police responded to a report of a man who entered a doughnut shop with an axe. He jumped on the counter and took the pink box of donuts, and then fled, leaving the axe on the ground. Police say the robber nothing more took, writes Fox News.

The doughnut thief was a 40-year-old Christopher James, whom the police found in the block from the shop, eating the same donuts. After a brief investigation, he was arrested and charged with robbery in the first degree. He is in custody in the detention Center Multnomah County.
