The woman’s body wrapped in a tarp was found on the street in Brooklyn early Wednesday morning, April 22. 68-year-old man, milling about nearby were detained for questioning.
Investigators suspect the woman died of a drug overdose, and the man panicked and dumped her body.
The autopsy should determine the cause of death.
The corpse was discovered at about 4 a.m. on E. 21st St., near Ditmas Ave. in Flatbush. The age of the woman is unknown, and the police were unable immediately to identify her.
The man, who was nearby, was questioned at the 70th precinct.
Local resident Ryan Kerr saw the body right behind my bedroom window just after dawn.
«I woke up a couple of times in the middle of the night because I heard people laughing and having fun, and then I heard the police crashed the party, said Kerr DAILY NEWS. — I haven’t looked out until, until you literally heard the police radio… I just want to know what the hell is going on outside my bedroom».
