Five people, presumably members of the same family, were shot dead at their home in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) on Monday morning.
The victims, ranging in age from 14 years to 41 years, were found dead in a house in the Northern part of the city after a man called 911 and said that «his family is dead.»
It is reported by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, citing police.
Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett told reporters at the scene that the child in the house survived the slaughter. Investigators believe that the shooter decided to spare the baby.
The suspect gunman — according to police sources, the 43-year-old Christopher Stokes was arrested a few hours later.
Police found weapons at the scene. The police did not specify who exactly called 911. The investigation is ongoing.
It is known that Christopher Stokes had previously been a couple of arrests since 2002, and he is forbidden to own a gun legally.
In 2007, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for witness intimidation and breach of bail.
In 2017, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of one month.
