Recently engaged couple from North Carolina went missing more than two weeks ago, in circumstances which the police deemed «suspicious.»
According to police at the press conference, the 27-year-old Stephanie to Mayorga and 25-year-old Paige Escalera was last seen on April 15 in Wilmington (North Carolina).
According to captain Thomas Tillman, their neighbor had applied for the disappearance of the girls a few days after she was last seen Mayorga and Escalera.
Tillman said that on surveillance video it is noticeable that the pair is leaving his house in Wilmington and leads grey 2013 Dodge Dart South Carolina plates. He called the disappearance of the girls was «suspicious» on the basis of undisclosed information obtained by the police.
«For people of this age group tend to be very spontaneous. But they left all their possessions in the house,» said the captain Tillman.

During the first search conducted in the house, investigators found no evidence of a crime.
Investigators spoke with friends and family members of both missing girls «in an attempt to gather information about where they could go.» In addition, detectives appealed for help to other local and Federal law enforcement agencies.
The police use airplanes to try with the height to find the missing vehicle.
