Fishing in Central Park, 24-year-old Luis Castuar decided he had caught a fish — but literally froze when he realized that he was in front of a human body.
Upon arrival, the officers determined that the remains belonged to a man in his 30s.
The 24-year-old fisherman said there was “a whole bunch of kids” playing nearby and was upset that they had to face a shocking incident. According to reports, this is the second body found in the park and the third one found in a month.
“I hooked on something, went to look. — recalls Kastuar — But when I pulled the line, I found the body.
«I started shouting, passers-by called the police and they confirmed that it was a corpse.»
“He was wearing sneakers … black and white sneakers, and he looked like a man,” added Louis.
Police have confirmed that the deceased is a 30-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances of his death are still being investigated.
