A man who thought he was going on a date with a charming stranger was the victim of a robbery in Harlem.

Police said the 26-year-old victim was walking along 117 West Street at about 3 pm when he was approached by a woman wearing a cropped top with the words «Over it».

“Hey, you look cute. Would you like to invite me to dinner? ”She allegedly said, and when the victim agreed, she made an appointment at the building on 117th Street near Frederick Douglas Boulevard. Unfortunately for the victim, not only a new acquaintance was waiting for him there.

Video from surveillance cameras showed two men attacking the victim: one rushes at him, knocking him to the ground, and the second begins to beat. The woman, in turn, hurriedly leaves — having had time to turn around and smile, looking at what is happening.

According to the officers, the man's wallet and mobile phone were taken away. After that, the attackers disappeared. The victim, who had bruises after the incident, refused medical attention.

On Sunday, police released surveillance footage in hopes of identifying suspects. Anyone with information about them is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
