Police are looking for a man who attacked a Russian tourist and her friend in Manhattan

Police are searching for a man who attacked two women on a Manhattan street (New York).

Authorities said one of the victims was a Russian tourist who was visiting a friend when they were both attacked. Investigators call the attack unprovoked.

The video from the surveillance camera shows that the man approached the victims at about 21: 30 on June 26 on West 15th Street (West 15th) in Chelsea.

Police said that he grabbed a 31-year-old tourist, threw her into a pole, and then to the ground, trying to take her purse. Then the attacker hit her 33-year-old friend in the face and ran away.

Both women were taken to the hospital. The tourist received serious cuts on the back of her head, while her friend had bruises on her face.
