Former President Carter hospitalized in Canada

Jimmy Carter hospitalized with dehydration during his charity visit to Canada.

The former President, who is visiting Canada through a program of Habitat for Humanity (habitat for humanity), on Wednesday, was hospitalized due to dehydration.

The former democratic President was at the construction site of houses in Winnipeg. This visit was part of a weeklong project in which he participates along with his wife Rosalyn.

«President Carter felt ill, working in the spotlight in Winnipeg», — reads the statement of the Habitat for Humanity organization, which Carter has supported for a long time. «The President told us that he was okay, and that he was taken away for examination.»

Firefighters and paramedics were hospitalized Carter from the construction site in one of the local hospitals. 92-year-old former President called on his fellow volunteers to drink plenty of water and to continue their work.

The canadian visit was 34 Carter’s trip that he made in the context of the work to charitable organizations engaged in the construction of houses.
