In the midst of a family quarrel 72-year-old man shot in the head almost three times the younger 28-year-old wife. The incident took place today in the Bronx on Glebe Ave. close to Lyon Ave. in Parkchester at about 8.40 am.
The woman was immediately hospitalized at Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition. Predictions about her recovery, the doctors do not undertake.
The man was taken into custody at the scene, he was seized with small-caliber firearms. Charges have not yet been made, but obviously the man will be charged with voluntary manslaughter or attempting its Commission.
Before the incident between the pair occurred a rift, the couple was preparing to divorce.
