Missing California girl survived for two weeks, feeding on insects

33-year-old Jamie Tull from Riverbank, California, discovered live on a ranch of cattle.

Jamie went missing on July 17 when she last called her husband, when traveling in the car. After that the car flew into the ditch, and two weeks Jamie survived under the scorching sun until it was wanted.

As told the Associated Press the Sheriff of Merced County Vern Warnke, Jamie, a former teacher of primary school, found in the tall grass about a mile from the scene of the accident. She was exhausted, sunburn. The woman told that fed on grasshoppers and flies, and drinking water from the trough for cattle. But she added that she did not want to be found.

«Give me food and water and release,» said Jamie.

According to officials, the woman suffered from a traumatic emotional problems and was taking medications from depression, but before the accident stopped to do it.

«The fact that I saw her in that tall grass, something that she managed to survive in this heat – a miracle» — said the rescuers.

Jamie was airlifted to the hospital, where he will meet with relatives.
