Officials of the Department for the protection of the wildlife of Florida are investigating the case with brutal video where the fisherman shoots hooked a hammerhead shark.
«He shoots and laughs,» says the activist Russ Rector, who gave a video. «It’s particularly cruel because if you are going to kill the shark, then shoot her in the head. He was shot in the gills, causing the hanging shark to suffocate and bleed to death,» he continues.
According to The Bradenton Herald, the man in the video – the party of reality-show MTV «Siesta Key» Alex Kompothecras. Photo evidence was on his page in social networks, but he later deleted them, apologizing and saying that will do this.
However, it will not protect him from investigation and possible punishment if it is proved that the incident occurred in the waters of Florida.
In the state of Florida is prohibited to shoot at sharks, but is allowed to do in the ocean, in Federal waters.
