Thief-cyclist Rob taxi drivers through Windows of cars

At least seven taxi drivers were victims of a thief whose method of operation is quite simple. A man rides a bike to the car, which is in a traffic jam and grabs a purse from a shirt pocket of the driver.

Police looking for suspect who allegedly committed the robberies between June 28 and July 31. The attacker visited the Upper East Side, times square, Waterline, Union square and Greenwich village. Here are three of the seven similar cases, which were provided by the NYPD:

The incident 1. On Wednesday 28 June 2017, at 17:00 an unidentified man approached a cab in the area of 5th Avenue and East 60th Street and pulled $ 105 a 58-year-old driver through the open window. The suspect left on his Bicycle in a South-westerly direction.

Incident 2. On Saturday, 1 July 2017, 20:30, an unknown man approached a 55-year-old male operator of the taxi, climbed in an open window and took $ 20 from the car driver, who was standing near 47th street and 6th Avenue. The suspect left on a Bicycle in an unknown direction.

Incident 3. On Thursday, 6 July 2017, 13:30 unidentified people approached the 54-year-old male operator of the taxi, climbed in an open window and took the driver through the open window 137 dollars. The car was parked in the area 732 Madison Avenue. The suspect fled on a Bicycle in an easterly direction.

Growth suspect, 5’10»-6′ feet and the approximate weight is 200 pounds. The police actively looking for the perpetrator and asks for help from everyone to whom something is known about him.
