Home owners in Englewood, FL, waiting for a big surprise when they found that over their heads settled a boa constrictor.
Linda van der Herchen told WTSP that her son Adam is constantly heard noises from the attic and thought it was rats. Until I saw the snake through the gap in the ceiling.
Linda’s husband immediately called the staff of the division of animal control. Officers initially suggested that it was a rattlesnake, but to catch her failed and she slid under the rafter.
After the family posted the video on Facebook, in comments echoed by a guy named mark Lampert, who said he could help catch the snake. After searching the attic, he found some huge pieces of discarded snake skin. This was evidence that the reptile quietly coexisted with the people for several months or even years (on average, the snake sheds its skin two to four times per year).
After two hours and «sitting in ambush» guy managed to find and catch the snake. It was not explosive, but it is unlikely owners is easier because, as it turned out, they lived next to the boa – namely, a Colombian red-tailed boa.
