According to the authorities, an FBI agent was wounded due to grenade explosion on the territory of the Federal Plaza in Manhattan. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.
The New York Post, citing a police source, reported that the agent accidentally activated a grenade while in an official car garage 26 Federal Plaza at about 13.45.
«A little cheque accidentally fell out,» another source told The Post.
The injured FBI agent, whose name was not released, was immediately taken to Bellevue Hospital. His condition is described as stable.
