Random bullet landed in the neck of a young resident of Los Angeles

Sunday morning 16-year-old resident of Los Angeles was the victim of an unknown shooter, who shot her in the neck. She could at best remain disabled for life, but, apparently, was born in the shirt — the bullet narrowly missed her spinal cord.

The victim was shot while walking with friend in the southern part of the city. When behind came the sound of a gunshot, the girl did not immediately realized what happened. She felt the air hit her in the face, and then she felt a pain in the neck. The victim and her friend took to their heels, found the nearest shelter and called the police and an ambulance.

The paramedics took the wounded to a medical facility, where she immediately underwent surgery. Doctors estimate its condition as stable.

Currently, police are investigating the details of the incident and trying to establish the identity of the shooter.
