In 1992, the mother of Stephen daym, Paula, attacked his father with an axe while he was sleeping. Then Lawrence survived, and Paula was sent to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

Stephen was CEO of the Gabriel Management company real estate in new York, founded by his father. Family members Daym supported Andrew Cuomo during his failed campaign before the election for Governor in 2002. Later, Cuomo expressed gratitude to the couple in his book «Crossroads: the future of American politics.» The Governor called Dimov members of the «big family», and I understand why, because the couple donated $4 $ 150 to his campaign. However in later campaigns they Cuomo no longer supported. The Governor’s representative stated that he had not spoken with former supporters for 15 years, and their names were mentioned in the book along with the other people who made a financial contribution to Cuomo.
