California has become a haven for immigrants

On Saturday morning, the legislature of California voted to approve a bill that would limit police cooperation with Federal immigration authorities. This means that the state will protect some illegal immigrants from deportation.

The bill is not talking about the release from detention of offenders convicted of serious or violent crimes. «We will work with our friends at the Federal level for serious and violent criminals. But we are not going to cooperate when it comes to weaning children from their mothers, mothers from their children,» commented bill a Democrat from Los Angeles, Kevin de Leon.

Most likely the California Governor Democrat Jerry brown will sign the document. According to The Hill, California immigration laws are among the most friendly in the country, and the state is often called the «sanctuary.»

Recall that in January President Donald trump has signed a decree, which can deny funding to the city of refuge. Yesterday a Federal judge of the state of California adopted a decision on blocking of the decree.
