A new law in new York city introduces a programme of free and affordable Lunches for all students. The recent initiative finally took the form of the law and now children from poor families, I guess its creators, you will not suffer from discrimination and segregation.
The new legislation introduced a ban on «special» relation to the children receiving free Lunches due to low income of their family. Now they are spared from the assignment of additional duties during the school lunch and alternative (more simple and cheap) dishes. Menu in school canteens will be common to all.
Sponsors of the bill say that so far the state has not shown concern that some children just can’t afford to buy lunch at school and receiving free reduced price meals sets them apart from their peers, forced to be ashamed of their situation. Now everything will change for the better, say the legislators.
