New York took another step closer to forever put an end to hookah bars, taking a billthat will forbid to open new institutions of this type, according to Pix11.
The new law will become part of the universal ban on Smoking in public places. Working hookah new bill provides for a small loophole: bars will be able to continue their job if half their income it brings the hookah menu.
«Today we once and for all clear the air from the hookah smoke,» said city Council member Vincent Gentile, one of the initiators of the bill.
According to the Center for control and prevention of diseases, people often believe that hookah is not as dangerous and harmful as cigarettes. But this is a misconception: hookah is also unhealthy as tobacco.
Usually, hookah puff for much longer than a cigarette, so the smoker inhales more smoke.
