The Golden state Governor Jerry brown approved a law, which implies the indication of a neutral gender in the documents.

Bill No. 179, as proposed by Senator Toni Atkins, implies Sabinanigo gender option in birth certificates and driver’s licenses. A new sample documents will be available from 2019.

The law also simplifies the procedure for changing the gender on the ID: if before making adjustments to the documents was entitled to only those who have undergone a sex change operation, now it is no longer required.

«With this simple change California authorities made the daily life of transgender people is much easier and safer. We are forced to identify themselves everywhere: from banks to airports. Move with the ID card, not reflecting the true essence, can be depressing and even dangerous for transgender and nibinamik people,» — commented on the innovation, the Executive Director of the Legal center transgender Chris Hayashi.

Tony Atkins thanked Jerry brown for approval of his decision on Twitter.
