Accepting applications for the deferred action Program for arrivals in America as children (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — DACA) renewed, said on Saturday, January 13, the U.S. immigration authorities.
The program, adopted during the administration of President Barack Obama, protects immigrant children brought to the United States as a minor. This generation, called «dreamers»has the right to obtain a work permit in the United States.
A person previously granted the status of DACA, can apply for extension of status in accordance with the conditions specified until cancelled in September 2017, according to the official website of citizenship and immigration USA. Application forms available there.
Thursday, January 11, a Federal judge temporarily blocked the decision of Donald trump to terminate the program. The fate of the «dreamers» will decide the Congress, discussing and accepting on this issue, a new package of legislative acts.
In turn, Donald trump today, 14 Jan, did Twitter another loud statement: «DACA is probably dead.» In his opinion, the Democrats, the program is actually not needed. «They just want to talk about it, taking the money from our military,» — says trump.
