The area in front of the Russian Embassy in Washington was named Nemtsov

The city Council of Washington voted to rename the square in front of the Russian Embassy in honor of one of the main leaders of the Russian opposition — Boris Nemtsov. On unanimous decision of members of Council was reported in Twitter Deputy Chairman of the public organization «Open Russia» and the head of Fund of Boris Nemtsov Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr..

The official opening of the square. Nemtsov will be held 27 Feb — exactly 3 years after the murder of opposition.

Boris Nemtsov was shot dead 27 Feb 2015 Bolshoy Moskvoretsky bridge, near the Kremlin. To the memorial site people regularly bring flowers and pictures, which are periodically cleaned by municipal services of Moscow.
