Court of Memphis (Tennessee) sentenced three men to life imprisonment plus 40 years imprisonment for the murder of 7-year-old Kirtsen Williams.

In April 2015, 24-year-old Jordan Clayton, 22-year Brenden Brookins and 25-year-old Carlos Stokes killed the girl that was playing with a friend and brother in the front yard. They pulled up to the curb and just opened fire on it.

Prosecutors said that Stokes wanted to avenge the death of his sister, 15-year-old Coterie Stokes. The teenager was killed the same day in a shooting related to a dispute about the deal about drugs.

In the course of the hearing the judge James Lammi asked men why they first turned for help to law enforcement to find out who is responsible for the death of a teenager.

All men were convicted of first-degree murder and two of attempted murder.

Three years ago, the murder of two girls for several hours caused a public outcry in Memphis. Former mayor Hey C Wharton called it «heart-a tragedy for the affected families and the entire city.»

By the way, Coterie Stokes case still remains unsolved.
