Operatives covered 11 major drug smuggling from Mexico

Over 40 kg of methamphetamine, 3 kilograms of cocaine and 45 kilograms of marijuana — a «catch» found an agent, through a covert operation called Operation Highlife.

The investigation, which involved Bureau of investigation homeland security (HSI) Immigration and customs enforcement (ICE), Office for drug control and Bureau of narcotics Mississippi state, Wednesday, may 30, field investigators managed to detain 11 major drug traffickers. Those arrested were members of a powerful organization, which is engaged in the distribution of smuggled drugs from Mexico to Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Texas and California.

«These arrests are the culmination of an extensive investigation Task force of drug enforcement to combat organized crime (OCDETF) Operation entitled the Highlife, the purpose of which is to identify the illegal distribution of drugs in this part of our state,» said attorney Michael Hurst at a press conference in Jackson (state of Mississippi), where the arrests and seizure of prohibited substances.

The press service of the ICE posted on the website the names of all the detained members of the group. They were 32-year-old Brandon Miller from Dallas (Texas), a 42-year-old Randlett Hudson, 32-year-old Lorenzo Hickman, 29-year-old Latrec Boiler, 36-year-old Caddis McAfee, 43-year-old Danny Drake, 27-year-old Courtney Orlando Campbell, the 37-year-old Kevin wells and 28-year-old Dijon Siles, nicknamed DJ from Philadelphia (Mississippi), 43-year-old Jimmy Harrison of Forrest (Mississippi) and a 32-year-old Trey Beamon from Louisville (Mississippi).

According to Hirst, OCDETF is not going to stop there. He stressed that the group intends to put an end to this criminal activity, where residents of the southern district of Mississippi does not feel safe over the last few years.
