The man who asked the African-American to show ID in the pool, fired

The story of Jasmine Abhulimen (Edwards) from Winston-Salem (North Carolina) related to racial discrimination for several days does not descend from the front pages of the media.

July 4, independence Day, the woman posted to Facebook a video of the conflict with Adam bloom. According to Jasmine, he went exactly (and only) to her and asked whether she is in a public pool which can be visited only by residents of the area.

As reported by Jasmine, she was in possession of an electronic pass, but there was no document proving the identity. When Adam found out, he called the police.

Upon arrival, officers found that a woman has the right to use the indoor swimming pool residential area and apologized to her. Adam, explained their actions by the fact that, as a representative of the Board of the pool several times a week asking visitors to show ID.

Insulted the woman demanded from the offender an apology, which he just ignored and walked away. The video has already collected about 100 thousand posts and more than 4 million views. The video became viral and netizens sent his employer Adam bloom.

Company Sonoco on Twitter apologized for his employee and said that the situation is contrary to the principles and moral values of the company.

«Anyway, this employee no longer works for the company», — said the representative of the company.

Press Secretary Sonoco Brian Risinger confirmed information about the dismissal, noting that Blum was Manager of business development, who has worked at the company for about five years.

The lawyer said his client received threats and is forced together with his family, wife and three children to move to another area.
