$500 to anyone who will come to the aid of police

Benevolent Association sergeants (Sergeants Benevolent Association — SBA) launched an initiative to protect police officers in dangerous situations. The Union proposes to reward those who come to the aid of NYPD officer that was in trouble.

The program should enter into force today, August 22, but no one can say for sure exactly how the civilians have to help the police. Only know that $500 will be awarded to those who contribute to the arrest of a resisting offender.

SBA President ed Mullins said, the decision was made due to the fact that people too often shoot the detention on their mobile phones, but remain indifferent.

The Association also insists on the law, which is supposed to protect civilians from liability if they decide to intervene to help the police arrest. Although this bill is still in development, the rewards program is already running. We also know that the assistants will be able to get the $500 only after the decision of the ad hoc group of experts.

Earlier we told you that a program of unconditional basic income (Unconditional Basic Income — UBI), some Chicago residents will receive from the state assistance in the amount of $500.
