A couple stopped for drunk driving. The man hit the military, and his wife threw shoes and dirty Laundry

The couple from long island will be long remembered by the group of soldiers, who on Sunday, December 23, inspected cars on the Southern State Parkway in Roosevelt.

According to police of the state of new York, around 1:35 a.m. military stopped Mercedes-Benz, at the wheel which was 38-year-old Michael Nelson. At that time, his 29-year-old wife of Alexander Nelson got out of the car and tried to prevent the arrest of the spouse. As a result, both were arrested and taken to Barracks in East Meadow.

According to police, the man was charged with driving while intoxicated, assault in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and intimidation.

Alexander Nelson was accused of attempted assault in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice by state authorities and hooliganism.

Lawyer spouses mark Gunn accused the police that the staff did not allow Alexander to use the bathroom.

«I think that the military provoked her behavior, said Gunn The Post, calling the arrests of his clients «hyped and exaggerated». She begged to go to the bathroom, but they wouldn’t let her. Unfortunately, they put my client in a very awkward position.»

Now the pair is in Nassau County Detention. The next hearing in their case on the 16th of January.
