The FBI is investigating possible cases of corruption and money laundering in the city hall of Los Angeles

The FBI is continuing an extensive investigation of possible corruption, extortion, money laundering and other crimes in the city hall of Los Angeles.

It all started with a search of the house and office Guzara Jose, city Council member, who led the development of downtown Los Angeles. Large-scale development of the area with a huge investment of Chinese companies has aroused the suspicions of law enforcement. Thus Husar could get a benefit, from developers taking bribes and laundering money. He served as the Chairman of the Committee on urban planning and land administration, and in November last year, the FBI began checking all commercial real estate projects, including apartment buildings, hotels and shopping centres are dealt with by the Advisor. A week after the RAID Husar was excluded from the Committee.

The Federal search warrant mentioned and other politicians, including city Councilman Curran Price, the chief of staff Advisor to herb Wesson Deron Williams, Commissioner of public works Joel Jacinto, Director of planning Sean cook, a former assistant Guzara George Espers and former Deputy mayor Eric Garcetti’s economic development Raymond Chan.

In addition, the FBI is looking for «all documents on construction projects in Los Angeles and the surrounding area, which involved foreign companies, including Hazens, Guernsey, Oceanwide and others.»

All the developers who worked on projects in the area from downtown Los Angeles to Eagle Rock, are required to provide information to the FBI about the relationships with the adviser Husaren and former members of his office, starting in 2013. The FBI is looking for information about any contribution that developers can make to the re-election campaign Husar in his Committee offices, any of his legal defense Fund or his Alma mater, high school Bishop Mora Salesian. The investigation takes into account even the gifts, food, travel, holidays, flights, event tickets or rounds of Golf that the company has provided Husary, his staff or any other member of the Council.

That warrant States that the FBI had already collected evidence of criminal activities of any of the persons or companies referred to in the document. No one has yet been charged with a crime or arrested as the investigation continues.
