For Smoking in a car with a child inside in Indiana want to be fined for the sum to $10 thousand

In the state of Indiana want to impose a penalty of $1,000 for Smoking in the car if inside is a child. This bill was proposed by state senators Eddie Melton and Jim Merritt to reduce the number of children affected by passive Smoking.

The driver will face criminal liability if he gets caught Smoking in a car with a child under the age of six. For hard-core offenders who are caught three times a year in this offense, the fine increases to $10,000.

Nine States already have similar laws banning Smoking with a few differences. For example, Arkansas prohibits Smoking in a car with a child who is under 14 years in California, 18 years of age in Louisiana is 13 years old, the man — 16 years in Oregon and 18 years in Puerto Rico — 18 years of age in Utah is 16 years and in Vermont for 9 years, Virginia for 8 years.

If the bill is adopted, it will enter into force in July 2019.
