In Salton city (CA) officers have arrested a man who tried to smuggle in the gas tank of his car batch of liquid methamphetamine, According to customs and border protection (CBP), 22-year-old resident of the Fountains (CA) Rene Elizalde was arrested at about 9 a.m. on January 27 after he drove up to the checkpoint, border patrol on state route 86.

Car Elizalde — pickup Ford F-250 1997 — was sent for re-examination as a service dog from border detachment K-9 started barking at the car. After the second time the dog ran toward the truck, the guards inspected the interior of his 2 tanks using the camera-endoscope.
«In one of the tanks for gasoline, the agents saw a liquid, which was similar to gasoline,» — said in a statement CBP. The study showed that the reservoir was methamphetamine.
